A sketchbook from 2011. During this year I started to make paintings regularly along the banks of the Thames. Walking along the paths sketching as I move. These are all very quick pencil sketches. I like to make them quickly because it is a good way to avoid being precious with mark making. When you are moving or only stopping for a few seconds at a time it forces you to focus on essential elements. This sketchbook is about 4"x6"
